A curriculum is one of the most important assets of higher education. If there is a coherent, orchestrated curriculum, students can smoothly acquire knowledge and skills in a step-by-step, well-prepared manner. If there is a poor curriculum, duplicated materials are covered multiple times, which is inefficient, and inconsistency is sometimes introduced. Therefore, a well-developed curriculum is essential for effective learning.
In our project, "CourseDB", we've been developing methods and tools to help faculty staff to design a good curriculum.
We propose a method to generate a map of the syllabi from which we can understand the whole structure of a curriculum represented by its syllabi.
